Field Trip
Classes are run on 2 tracks at 5 hours a day for 8 weeks. Once you choose a track you can only come on those days. Choose your track.
Track A is EVERY Monday and Wednesday 10am - 3pm
Track B is EVERY Tuesday and Thursday 10am - 3pm
With 10 hours a week of instruction for 8 weeks, that's 80 hours of sewing!
The student designers will be able to learn all aspects of being a designer from choosing a brand name to constructing a full mini collection by the end of the summer!
Every student designer will get the following supplies included with their fee:

During our 8 week camp the student designers will each make a total of 5 projects!

The Kut Studios is located in the world famous DTLA Fashion District! The student designers will be headed to the fashion fabric stores to purchase their fabric for their projects for the summer! This will teach the designers how to build a design budget. Don't worry, the cost of the fabric is a part of their camp fee.

We know that a camp like this can be a financial challenge. There are no additional fees once your registration fees are paid. We also have payment plan options available to pay your fees over time through Affirm and Afterpay.
The Kut Studios is owned by Michelle Thomas. She is a celebrity designer, tailor, tv/film costumer, and sewing instructor! Studio Manager / Sewing Instructor, Christian Chacon is a celebrity designer and artist.

Though lunch is not provided during camp, parents need to send students with a lunch. Snacks, juice and water will be provided.
There is a section on the registration form for allergies.
All student designers get to do a professional look book photoshoot in their pieces they made during camp. A professional fashion photographer, hair and makeup team will assist them.
All photos will be put into a glossy keepsake magazine and given to them at the finale show.
All videos and photos will be available for free download at the end of camp!
What's a designer without a fashion show to present their work?! The student designers will do a final finale fashion show to present their work on the runway for their family to enjoy! Watch your new designer walk the runway in fashion they made during camp!

In order to ensure every student designer is able to learn and ask questions, the class sizes are limited to 10 students per Track. Only 20 total student designers will be able to register for The Kut Kids Summer Sewing Camp!

Working in fashion can lead to working with celebrities and designing for red carpets! We have some special surprise celebrity guests coming to visit and speak with the student designers during camp! Disney, Nickalodeon and Hulu Stars will meet and greet with our student designers!
We know it's summer time and family vacations, sick days, and unexpected absences may happen. Nt to worry! All student designers are able to make-up (up to) 2 class days during the summer on fridays!
Our summer sewing camp is specifically designed to work with kids ages 7 -15. All they need is a desire to learn how to sew, sketch, be creative and make new friends! No experience needed!
Not only will the student designers learn to sew, but they will also learn to sketch out their creations. They will have drawing projects to do at home to plan out their projects and figure out what they want their collection to look like for the summer!
